It’ll run fine, then randomly lose all power, engine reaches correct target but turbo pressure is to low
Everything runs fine but no power randomly and smoke

I have been considering a Range Rover Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE oil burn for a while now

Range Rover Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE current approx mileage 180,000 miles
Symptom: turbo not boosting properly over 2000 revs
I estimate that car is down approx 50%
Half of boost at 2000 revs MPG gone from 60mpg to 30mpg

Land Rover Sport whistle or siren sound.
I bought a used Land Rover Sport model two years back.
Got the regular service done that included oil + filer, air filter, brake fluid, cabin filter every one year
For the past one week or so I did not use the car due to holiday
When I started the car, there was some funny sound between 1600rpm to 1800rpm. Above 1800rpm the sound is not present.
It was some kind of whistle or siren sound.
I got the car checked at a local garage. The fault reported was ?turbo is gone?.

The AA dropped my Range Rover 3.0 Diesel off after breaking down
smoke pouring out of the exhaust and a complete loss of power.
Best Turbos? replaced the turbo with a reconditioned turbo as well as an
oil and filter change, changed the oil feed pipe, changed the standard
breather filter to the upto date vortex one. They also ensured the oil
pressure was ok on the engine.>
They even gave it a wash and a polish.
All in all the car was turned around in 24 hours after all the messing around with the AA claims department.
Nothing to do with best turbos but one thing to be aware of for anyone is not to take out
AA repair cover it’s not worth the paper it’s wrote on! My Range Rover its works perfect,

This is got to be one of the best experiences I have ever had involving a garage
These guys really know their stuff no messing about just get on and do A top quality job
The AA took my range Land Rover Discovery 4 3.0 Diesel
after breaking down
Oil coming out of one turbocharger exhausts starting to smoke loss of power
I had heard of horror storiesof Land Rover charging between ?5000 and ?7000
Best Turbos? replaced both turbos with reconditioned ones and replaced any other part that was looking fatigued. They also serviced it replacing all oil filters and filters
They also gave it a wash and a polish
All of this along with keeping me informed at a very very busy period for them for the bargain price of ?2433.00
As for my Range Rover now I’m going to have to retrain my right foot as it is very responsive
